Freedom: My Book of Firsts ABC News Anchor Diane Sawyer has the first television interview with Jaycee Dugard five years after their first sit down following her miraculous rescue from captivity. Dugard will discuss adjusting to a new life and reintegrating into society, which she reveals in her new memoir “Freedom: My Book of Firsts.” The Diane Sawyer special edition of “20/20” will air Friday, July 8 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET) on ABC. Sawyer interviewed Dugard in 2011 when she talked about her horrendous experience in captivity for the first time on the eve of the release of her first memoir “A Stolen Life.” Dugard was kidnapped when she was 11 years old, held in captivity by Phillip and Nancy Garrido for 18 years and gave birth to two daughters. “Freedom: My Book of Firsts” will be released on Tuesday, July 12 by Simon and Schuster. Hillary Clinton ABC NEWS NEW YORK-- In an exclusive interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, Hillary Clinton defended President Obama’s decision to swap five Taliban prisoners for U.S. solider Bowe Bergdahl, saying she won’t second guess him. Sawyer asked Clinton whether the president made “a deal with the devil” by releasing the Taliban detainees being held at Guantanamo Bay prison in exchange for Bergdahl. “I think this was a very hard choice, which is why I think my book is aptly named” Clinton said. “If you look at what the factors were going into the decision, of course there are competing interests and values. And one of our values is we bring everybody home off the battlefield the best we can. Television actor Alec Baldwin raged at newswoman Diane Sawyer during a interview last night. When she quizzed him about an infamous answering machine message he left his daughter Ireland in 2007, the actor admitted he was stunned when the message he left for his 11 year old was made public. Speaking on news show 20/20, Baldwin told Sawyer, "It (message) was left with the presumption of privacy." And when the interviewer suggested the angry message, in which Baldwin called his daughter "a thoughtless little pig," was uncalled for, the movie star became angry. He asked, "Why do you so reflexively dismiss that notion? I mean you carelessly dismiss that notion."
