NEW YORK CITY MOVES FAST ON SIPPING STRAWS
Protect Our Waters You Give a Sip, and they're listening! NYC is moving fast on a bill to get rid of single-use plastic straws and stirrers in food service establishments throughout the city. This is great news for turtles, fish, birds, and other marine wildlife. Some very important decisions on this issue will take place at an upcoming New York City Council committee hearing. This Thursday, 6/21 at 11:45 AM, join us on the steps of NYC City Hall for a Rally to Ban Plastic Straws prior to the hearing — we need to up the momentum! Use the City Hall Park entrance on Broadway and Park Place.
