Christina Ricci Hollywood star Christina Ricci has called off her wedding plans after allegedly breaking up from fiance Owen Benjamin. The actress and the comic ended their relationship after a fight at a weekend party, according to People.com . A source tells the publication, "Owen had a birthday party this past Sunday, and everything seemed fine. Sometime after, they got into a fight and decided to re-evaluate things. (Then) the engagement was off." A friend says, "They really are still close. They talk almost every day. It was a very mature decision and they both felt good about it. Hollywood star Christina Ricci doesn't go out partying because she doesn't want to be caught on camera falling out of nightclubs. The actress, who admits she went through a very wild period when she was much younger, is very worried about being caught out and about by the crazed paparazzi to let her hair down. Ricci, 28, said: "Now if you go to a restaurant in Hollywood or go to a party you're going to end up being photographed. So why you'd get drunk and fall over in front of photographers I really don't know."The actress also claims she has never been offered drugs while out partying in Hollywood. She added: "People used to warn me, saying, 'Be careful. You're an actress so there's temptation all around.' Well no one has ever offered me drugs."They specifically don't invite me into the rooms where the drugs are. Hollywood actress Christina Ricci has found a new hobby. The star loves to gamble. The 27-year-old was spotted at the grand opening of The Palazzo hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nev., on Thursday, where her favorite game was blackjack. And she admits she has become addicted to the thrill of the game. She tells People.com, "I've learned to love gambling. I was in Australia for a few months and gambling is like a national pastime there, so I learned to love betting on horses, and now I even put in a few football bets and I'm kind of obsessed and into it. Gambling is pretty good. "I have no strategy (with horses) and I never pick winners. But it's still fun."

Speed Racer Christina Ricci Christina Ricci's latest film has sparked outrage following allegations a chimpanzee was beaten on set.The chimp is said to have bitten an actor on the set of 'Speed Racer', which reportedly resulted in the animal being hit. PETA has written to producer Joel Silver urging him to stop using live animals in his movies.The animal rights campaign group said in a statement: "We've received several troubling complaints from people who have been on the 'Speed Racer' set and report the main chimpanzee 'actor' has been beaten and has bitten one of the human actors.
