Inspired by the elegance of Provence in Summer, the evening brought together philanthropists, preservationists, and friends of France in support of FHS’s mission to preserve French architectural and cultural heritage. The evening was the most successful Summer Soirée, raising significant funds to support French Heritage Society's restoration grants, student internships, and educational programming.   Leesa Rowland Actress, Philanthropist, and Author Leesa Rowland hosted her “Royal Halloween Ball” at The Lotos Club in New York City – an affair combining Regal Spendor with a heartfelt tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The light-hearted party was a throwback to the times of Kings, Queens and the Royal Court.   Jean Shafiroff Celebrating its 40th Anniversary throughout 2022, French Heritage Society (FHS)  will mark its milestone year on both sides of the Atlantic this fall with a 40th Anniversary Gala at the Petit Palais in Paris on October 15th and “Gilded Age Gala” at a private club in Manhattan on November 17th. The New York Gala will honor philanthropist and long time Board Member, Jean Shafiroff.  FHS kicked off its busy fall gala season with festive cocktails on two consecutive Thursday evenings in September, one graciously hosted by FHS Board Member and Gilded Age Gala honoree Jean Shafiroff and the other by Young Patrons Circle Co-Chair Blake Funston. Chashama presented the Lane’s exhibit in May, which is National Mental Health Month. According to the Center For Disease Control (CDC), ten percent of all American adults will experience depression for two consecutive weeks or more at some point in their lifetime. Most of those adults reported at least some difficulty with work, home or social activities due to their depression.
