Northwell Health raised more than $650,000 at the eighth annual Summer Hamptons Evening. Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $7 million to support the Katz Institute for Women’s Health and the communities Northwell serves.

More than 300 supporters attended the event on August 8th, held at the Water Mill, NY residence of Victoria Moran-Furman, who co-hosted with Iris and Saul Katz, the benefactors of Northwell’s Katz Institute, Eric Moran and celebrity event planner Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events. Rosanna Scotto, cohost of Fox 5’s “Good Day New York,” served as emcee.

The Katz Institute for Women’s Health is driven by the Katzes’ vision that women at every life stage should receive access to the best individualized care and resources. The Institute has created the only dedicated network of more than 1,100 experts who are uniquely qualified to address the health care needs of women.

The evening included remarks from Stephanie Trentacoste McNally, MD, medical director of the Katz Institute, system director of menopause and midlife health and vice president of obstetrics and gynecology for Northwell’s central market, who highlighted Northwell’s investment in creating specialized centers for menopause and midlife health to help women navigate a pivotal phase of life that affects all aspects of their overall health. As part of the Katz Institute, the first-of-its-kind model will bring experts in multiple disciplines together under one roof to provide coordinated care. The first center opened in Stony Brook in March, and other locations are planned across Northwell’s footprint.

“Northwell and the Katz Institute are deeply committed to ensuring our patients receive the most comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to their needs at every stage of life,” said Stacey E. Rosen, MD, FAHA, executive director of the Katz Institute, senior vice president for women’s health at Northwell and the Partners Council Professor of Women’s Health at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. “The generosity of our donors who believe in our mission fuels our ability to continually elevate this care so that women across our communities are empowered to live long, healthy lives.”

Dr. Rosen also brought her expertise in women’s health care to her role as the immediate past volunteer president of the American Heart Association (AHA), the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health, where she primarily focused her tenure on efforts to improve the health of women through coordinated, holistic care, reduce gaps in research and raise awareness about preventative care throughout a woman’s lifespan.

In addition to lead sponsors Victoria Moran-Furman, Iris and Saul Katz, Eric Moran, Lawrence Scott Events, Michael Fisch, and Iris and Michael Smith, other key sponsors included Margaret M. Crotty and Rory Riggs, Michelle and Robert Fox, Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank, Alicia and Frank Grande, Alyssa and Todd Katz, Dayle and Michael Katz, Jennifer Langton, Shari Levine and David Augarten, Cori and Kenny Orr, Nicole and Scott Penn, Ruth and Michael Slade, Stacy Sklar Wofsy and Evan Wofsy.
