Designers Rebecca Lawlor And Emre Erturk

Designers Rebecca Lawlor and Emre Erturk have joined hands -- and handbags -- to raise money and awareness for abused women and children through the Hearts of Hope Foundation. Long a favorite brand of arm candy for famous faces, Emre New York has used his popular designs to fund raise for a variety of causes from The Breast Cancer Foundation to The Children’s Museum of Art, The Humane Society, The Kidney Foundation, Animal Haven, THANC and other philanthropic organizations and now, the Hearts of Hope Foundation which the designing woman launched in 2002. Lawlor’s patented hand-blown glass heart logo appears on all of her handbags to raise visibility for her cause. "Children who have been abused often lose their voices until they begin to heal from their emotional trauma. Their hearts have been broken -- like glass.” Now, both designers are contributing a portion of their earnings to the healing process.
