Jay Z. is stunned with Amy Winehouses mean temper at the Glastonbury Festival over the weekend, after launching a scathing attack on his very good friend Kayne West. The rehab singer hit the headlines the other day for attacking a audience member in the crowd at the English music festival on Saturday, but headliner Jay-Z was more put out by the singer’s comments about friend West minutes later. Jay-Z, who was watching her show from the side of Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, admits he was a little upset when Winehouse turned on his "brother" during a rant in which she attempted to defend festival organizers for hiring Jay-Z as Glastonbury’s first rap headliner. She told the audience: "Imagine if it was a c**t like Kanye West! `C**ts like Kanye’ - should be his next album title!" Jay-Z tells MTV.com, "She said something about Kanye late on (in her set) but I didn’t hear it and I don’t agree with it. He’s my brother and the biggest artist on Roc-a-fella (records) right now."I guess I should hook them up because he’s a great guy too. I don’t know what the problem is - I don’t know where that (comment) came from."

Singing star Beyonce Knowles is finally flashing her wedding ring to fans, four days after marrying music king Jay-Z in secret.The happy couple has refused to speak about their wedding ceremony, which took place in Westchester, New York on Friday, followed by a reception at the rapper's downtown New York City apartment. Jay-Z added to the confusion on Monday when he was photographed without a wedding ring. But concertgoers at the rapper's concert in Atlanta, Ga., on Tuesday night spotted an impressive gem on Knowles' left ring finger, as she partied with her pal Usher in the V.I.P. area.

Singing star Beyonce Knowles allegedly wed rapper Jay-Z yesterday, a source close to the couple told People magazine. “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family,” the source said. News of the reported wedding comes after days of speculation following reports, which surfaced last Tuesday, that Jay-Z and Beyonce had taken out a marriage license in Scarsdale, New York. The couple reportedly followed their private ceremony with a star-studded reception that included Destiny Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Tina Knowles, Solange, and close friends Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin, and Jay-Z’s close friends. Jay-Z’s favorite man on the turntables, DJ Cassidy, was at the reception spinning, according to the source. “Cassidy mentioned a week ago that he was really excited for the Jay Z and Beyonce’s wedding party to happen,” the source said. Earlier in the day, speculation that the new couple was marrying reached a new high outside Jay-Z’s New York City Tribeca building. Just before 8 PM local time, Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, pulled up to the locale, where a rooftop event, believed to be the nuptials of the singer and her beau may be taking place.Beyonce’s former Destiny’s Child band mates – Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams also arrived, but hid behind an umbrella as Gwyneth and Chris were mobbed by paparazzi on the scene. A fight broke out between paparazzi as Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles arrived and dozens of them surrounded the vehicle he was being carried in. Beyonce’s sister, Solange arrived shortly after her father, dressed in a white dress. Earlier in the evening an SUV believed to be carrying Oscar winner Forest Whitaker also turned up. The number four has particular significance to the couple. Both Jay-Z and Beyonce were born on the 4th – Jay Z was born on December 4, 1969, while Beyonce was born September 4, 1981. A host of media including four live trucks are currently stationed outside the location in preparation for coverage of the suspected nuptials. More than three dozen reporters and paparazzi are also outside and the numbers growing. Throughout the day SUVs were seen entering and exiting the garage located underneath Jay-Z’s building. The rooftop penthouse, owned by Jay-Z is adorned in flowers and tented scaffolding. A Maybach luxury vehicle arrived at the location shortly before 7 PM local time and drove past as it was mobbed by paparazzi. Jay-Z reportedly owns one of the super high-priced cars.

Blige and rapper Jay Z. have been forced to scrap a scheduled concert in Colorado next month, less than three hours after announcing the date in a press release.The pair was due to hit the road for their Heart of the City Tour this weekend in Miami, Florida, with further dates across North America over the next few weeks. An additional gig at Denver’s Pepsi Center on April 23rd was declared by promoter Live Nation on Tuesday night at 8.59pm, with tickets due to go on sale on Saturday morning. But at 11.48pm, Live Nation issued another statement, pulling the concert altogether.The latest press release reads: "Due to late additions of appearance commitments, they are disappointed that they will not be able to play in Denver."

Hip-Hop legend Jay Z. is planning on launching a chain of five star hotels.The rap entrepreneur recently purchased a parcel of land in New York’s City's Chelsea, for millions through his company, J Hotels. And now Jay Z. and his business partners, Charlie Blaichman and Abraham and Scott Shnay, have announced their plans for the luxury buildings.The Manhattan spot will be the firm’s flagship location. Estate agent Ronald Solarz, who closed the deal for Eastern Consolidated, says of the property: "West 22nd Street, between 10th and 11th Avenue, is arguably the heart and soul of the West Chelsea High Line district and is a perfect location for an upscale life style-oriented five star hotel." The Big Pimpin’ star already owns the sports bar chain 40/40 Club, in addition to many other ventures in clothing and alcohol branding. Years ago no one would dare to venture into the area which was full of prostitutes and drug dealers, but now the area is one of the hottest places in the city.

Universal Music Group said that Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter is stepping down as president of its Def Jam Records unit, effective by the end of the year.Carter has been been president of the storied rap label since 2005 and signed acts including R&B singers Rihanna and Ne-Yo.He signalled in July that he was going to step down. At the time media reported he was unhappy with Universals appointment of producer Jermaine Dupri as president of the label's urban music division.Universal said Jay-Z, also a top-selling rap artist, will continue as a recording artist for its Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam label.Universal Music, a unit of French media and telecommunications group Vivendi, has 30 per cent of the worldwide music market share.

Rihanna says mentor Jay-Z is her life coach.The 'Umbrella' singer, who was signed by the hip-hop mogul to Def Jam Records in 2004, admits she constantly goes to Jay-Z for professional advice but also quizzes him about her personal problems.Rihanna, 19, said: "Jay-Z is just an amazing mentor. I always go to him if I have a work-related problem, but I ask him about problems in my personal life too. He's incredible. A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "There isn't room for two kings at one label."Why would Def Jam bring in another power-hitter urban guy?"Jay-Z is now reportedly considering moving to Columbia records, the home of his girlfriend Beyoncé Knowles.The 38-year-old rapper is expected to take ownership of the master recordings of his musical catalogue with him when he moves.Jay-Z has been responsible for signing a number of major music stars to the label, including his 19-year-old protégée Rhianna - who he signed to Def Jam in 2004.The hip-hop mogul's success with the young songstress has made him an attractive option for Columbia co-chair Rick Rubin.A source said: "Rick's creating a super group of staff. So it would make sense that he would want Jay on his side."

He would love to oversee her career -- he kind of does anyway."But the insider warns that Sony will not let Knowles go without a fight, adding, "Sony has had a bad year -- all the hit acts, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and the 'American Idol' kids, are all on BMG. "They can't afford to lose Beyonce. They'll probably mortgage the farm to keep her. Which means a lot more money for Beyonce -- and Jay-Z if they get married." Representatives for Sony, Knowles and Jay-Z have yet to comment.

Insiders claim Reid is questioning how much time the rapper can devote to the label now he has come out of his own self-imposed music retirement and is touring again. The singer's other time-consuming business interests include his chain of 40/40 nightclubs and stakes in clothing label Rocawear, the New Jersey Nets basketball team and a Champagne concern. Reid is also rumored to be jealous of the attention and respect the rapper receives. A source said: "When Jay walks into a meeting, he sucks the air out of the room."Even without trying. Hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z is going to be evicted by the owner of his $27 million luxury New York City apartment. The rapper -- real name Shawn Carter -- has been paying $40,000 a month to rent the four bedroom pad in the exclusive Time Warner Center in Columbus circle since September 2005. But owner, telecom boss Michael Hirtenstein, is selling it -- intending to make a huge profit on the $15.7 million he paid for the apartment in 2004 -- reports the New York Post. Jay-Z will struggle to find a new home to match the criteria his current pad boasts -- as well as a private terrace and its own library, it has a telescopic view of his girlfriend Beyonce Knowles' apartment across Central Park. According to reports, the rap boss is planning to move straight into a $6.85 million penthouse he has been renovating for the last two years in the TriBeCa district.
