CLARA LOFARO'S NEW CD AT CUTTING ROOM

CLARA LOFARO, who's new CD PERFEKT WORLD (ComeTrue Records) is just out, was feted last week at Steve Walter's Cutting Room, with SOPRANO-ROBERT FUNARO as the evening's host. Lofaro is the fiery new singer and songwriter, who's work has been likened to that of Laura Nyro, Carole King, and Annie Lennox, and on this night she showed just why. Opening with a few exclusive snippets of the video for the album's title track (shot in Brooklyn) her performance showed an amazing new artist, full of power,imagination and verve. "Don't Punish Me", "Waterfall," and, "Fever", are three powerful tracks from the album and live, they proved themselves to be even better live. Her band was excellent that, providing just the right balance throughout. Clara Lofaro As media buzz gets louder in her native Toronto, CLARA LOFARO is poised to turn up the volume in the States with the release of her new CD 'PERFEKT WORLD.'
