Jean Shafiroff, philanthropist, TV host and author, has been named the Special Philanthropy Guest at the upcoming SOLD OUT South Fork Natural History Museum Gala to take place this Saturday evening, July 12, 2025 in Bridgehampton, New York. Jean Shafiroff is often referred to as the First Lady of Philanthropy by both national and international press because of her wonderful generosity and leadership abilities . She serves on numerous charity boards and chairs, hosts, and underwrites many charity events each year. She has a very strong presence in the Hamptons and is known for helping charities throughout the East End of Long Island as well as globally.
The South Fork Natural History Museum Gala is always a favorite of both celebrities and A-listers in the Hamptons. Proceeds raised will provide funds to this state of the art natural history museum. In addition to Special Guest Jean Shafiroff , honorees at the event will include Jeff Corwin, Josh Fox, Erica Noble and Ray Iwanowski. Liev Schreiber will serve as Honorary Chair. The South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO) & Nature Center is the only state-of-the-art natural history museum on the South Fork of Long Island. Founded in 1988 by a group of South Fork naturalists as The Nature Clubhouse in Amagansett, the museum opened at its permanent location in May 2005 in eastern Suffolk County at 377 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton, New York.
A place for children and adults of all ages to discover, explore, learn, and engage, the South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center is open seven days a week (except on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
