SAMUEL WAXMAN CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION HOSTS COCKTAIL PARTY TO LAUNCH HAMPTONS HAPPENING

The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) hosted a special Cocktail Party on Wednesday, April 27th, 2023, at Versa in New York City to kick off two vital SWCRF fundraising events: the 19th Annual Hamptons Happening and the virtual Step Up To Turn Off Cancer endurance event.

Events such as these have allowed SWCRF to invest more than $100 million towards collaborative cancer research programs, supporting hundreds of investigators around the world. SWCRF-funded scientists have made many breakthrough discoveries in the fight against cancer.

The Step Up To Turn Cancer Off is a virtual fundraising event where participants keep track of their physical activities in order to reach their daily “step” goal.  An easy-to-use online tool will convert nearly any activity such as walking, running swimming, dancing, yoga, gardening etc. into steps. Participants can register individually or as a team and then share progress with peers and family to garner donations. The week-long challenge runs from June 19th through 26th, 2023.
