Philanthropist, author, and influencer Jean Shafiroff and Christine Schott Ledes, president of the American Influencer Association, held a luncheon to usher in 2020 at Cafe Boulud at the Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. The luncheon was also in honor of the newly formed non-profit, Fresh Rx.

Invited guests at Jean Shafiroff's and Christine Schott's luncheon included Ava Roosevelt, Matt Rich, Jayne Chase, Maribel Alvarez, Adam Weiss, Mariza Precoda, Kim Renk , Paola Bacchini, Maria Fishel, Ruth Miller, Sylvia Hemingway, Beth Wilf, Lis Barron, and Christine Pressman. The group of 25 toasted Margaret Duriez of Lox Farms and Lily Holt Dillion for their philanthropic work on behalf of the FreshRx Fund and the Community Foundation for Palm Beach & Martin Counties.
One surprise guest was Fred Pressman -the son of Barney’s heirs Christine & Gene Pressman, who celebrated his first birthday on Thursday, January 9th.
About Fresh Rx
FreshRx aims to narrow the gap between nutrition, health and the treatment of disease through an innovative farm-to-hospital initiative which enables doctors at the Jupiter Medical Center to write fresh produce prescriptions to patients who have been advised to change their diets. Lox Farms produce is grown according to organic practices without exposure to synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. A weekly bag of certified naturally grown produce will be provided free of charge to cancer, heart and pediatric patients at JMC.
About Jean Shafiroff
Jean Shafiroff is renowned for her charitable giving and commitment to philanthropy. She chairs numerous galas and hosts many events benefitting several not-for-profit organizations each year and is the author of Successful Philanthropy: How to Make a Life by What You Give, a book which serves as a practical guide for both the aspiring and seasoned philanthropist. She serves on the boards of eight organizations, including the New York City Mission Society, Southampton Hospital Association , French Heritage Society, Couture Council (Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology), Jewish Board (28+ years), Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation Honorary Board, Southampton Bath & Tennis Club’s Charitable Foundation, and Global Strays. She is also an ambassador for the American Humane Society and the Ambassador-at-large for the Southampton Animal Shelter. In addition, Jean is a New York Women's Foundation Board Alumna who remains very active with the Foundation and women's issues. A volunteer fundraiser, leader, and spokesperson for several charitable causes, Jean Shafiroff’s philanthropic work includes improving the lives of underserved populations, women’s rights and well-being, health care, animal welfare, and resources for children in need, in addition to other causes.
About Christine Schott
As president of the American Influencer Association, Christine K. Schott aims to create a “trade organization for social media influencers” and “help bring some standards and practices to this wild west of an industry.” As founder of Elite Celebrities PR – a division of Elite Model Management, under the legendary Monique Pillard, she has worked with supermodels including Paulina Porizkova and Iman, and launched the careers of Lauren Bush Lauren and Amanda Hearst. Moving into the Influencer space — which she calls “the celebrities of today,” Christine now works with influencers such as Jeremy Fragrance – the leading fragrance influencer in the world. Having been recruited from her first job at SHAPE magazine to Condé Nast’s MADEMOISELLE, then to launch PRESTIGE magazine in New York, she most recently served as editor-in-chief of industry publications, BEAUTY FASHION & Cosmetic World.
