PORTLAND RAPPER WYNNE SETS THE INTERNET ON FIRE WITH 10 MILLION VIEWS

WYNNE

Los Angeles, CA -- Accumulating nearly 10 million views in under 72 hours, buzzing Portland rapper Wynne was mistaken for Eminem’s daughter in the resurfacing of her 2017 TeamBackPack cypher. Despite the myth (which was soon dispelled by Snopes), fans set the internet ablaze with positive feedback. This is the viral veteran’s third social media takeover including previous posts from Snoop Dogg and Worldstar.

The video for her debut single Buzzer features an impressive hometown cameo from Trailblazer’s Point Guard Damian Lillard and garnered praise from Missy Elliott on Twitter after reaching almost a million views on the site.

Don’t Touch, the follow-up to her debut, premiered on The Fader as she confronted her identity as a “poison apple” to hip hop.

With praise on her recent work from HotNewHipHop, RapRadar, and HipHopDX, the blonde haired blue-eyed rapper is prioritizing her studies of music and social justice reform at the University of Oregon while also pulling hip hop into the unknown territories of Portland.

About Wynne:

Call her a poison apple to hip-hop, Wynne raps with venom, fury, intensity, and consciousness all at once. Born and raised in a Portland suburb, she grew up an outsider, finding solace in her favorite rappers. While studying social justice and music at University of Oregon, she started releasing music of her own online. Now, she follows up her September debut with her second single in as many months, “Don’t Touch.”
