ABC'S 'THE VIEW' TALKS KEVIN HART AND HIS NOT APOLOGY-APOLOGY

THE VIEW ON KEVIN HART

Hot Topics: Kevin Hart steps down as 2019 Oscar host after homophobic tweets resurface.

"My biggest issue was his not apology-apology," Abby Huntsmans says of the way Hart handled the situation. "Why not use this as a platform to go out there and speak to one of the biggest audiences in the year on television?"

"The Oscars and a lot of award shows, particularly lately since Trump has been president, have been a platform for Hollywood to criticize this president for discrimination, for racism, for homophobia. So I do think that they are and should be held up to a higher standard if they are going to have that standing of them pointing a finger at others," Ana Navarro says. "At the same time, I think you got to let people and give people a chance to evolve."

"The problem that I have with it is this kind of mob mentality that we are seeing, these forced apologies." Sunny Hostin says. "Everybody sort of jumping on the bandwagon, not allowing people to evolve, not allowing people to own up to things."

"I think that there's a silver lining to all of this and it's that we are talking about it and we need to continue talking about it," Navarro adds. "It's something we need to keep being more sensitive about."
