Honorable Raymond W. Kelly And Gail Badillo

The New York Board of Rabbis gathered together to celebrate the fifth night of Hanukkah at its Annual Vodka and Latke Reception. The Honorable Raymond W. Kelly received the NYBR Leadership Award in front of 175 guests - including many distinguished Christian leaders. The event was chaired by Gail Badillo and hosted at Bernstein Private Wealth Management by Jeffrey Wiesenfeld. Jake Ehrenreich was the master of ceremonies and entertained the enthusiastic crowd. One of the highlight of the evening came when Commissioner Kelly thrilled the crowd by playing the drums to a standing ovation.

"We at the New York Board of Rabbis proudly honor Commisioner Ray Kelly as a modern day Maccabee in the battle against terrorism in which the decent must stand together to protect the dignity of all people as members of one human family," said Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Executive Vice President of the New York Board of Rabbis.

The guests received copies of Commissioner Kelly's new book, Vigilance: My Life Serving America and Protecting Its Empire City, which he personally signed for everyone. The New York Board of Rabbis honored him for his commitment to public service and lauded him for revolutionizing law enforcement following the 9/11 terror attacks.
