NUT FREE BAKED GOODS BASKETS @ NO NUT NATION

No Nut Nation

What began as a venture to provide tasty treats for Sandra Haas’ then 2-year-old daughter with a peanut and tree nut allergy is now No Nut Nation-- a booming business offering delicious nut free baked goods that are so good, even people without allergies crave them. In a few short months of production, No Nut Nation developed an impressive customer list and loyal following across sales channels such as supermarkets, schools and foodservice. Now 1-800-Baskets.com, a nationwide online gift basket retailer and part of 1-800-Flowers.com, Family of Brands, has come onboard and added No Nut Nation gift baskets to their offerings as part of their specialty diets initiative.

Launched in 2010 by attorney turned entrepreneur Haas and business partner, former automotive industry executive and entrepreneur Jennifer Eby, No Nut Nation is known for its delicious gourmet taste and strict food standards. Featured at special events in some of the finest venues in NYC, including The American Museum of Natural History, Cipriani 42nd Street, The Pierre and Waldorf Astoria. No Nut Nation’s Brownies, NY Style Crumb Cake, Mini Muffins, Cookies and Blondies are arriving in airports, homes, college dorms, camps and offices across the country.

These mothers are steadily changing the perception of "allergy friendly food" and proving you that don't have to go nuts to find "the perfect brownie". With a range of products, from The Perfect Brownie to All Natural Red Velvet Mini Muffins and Crumb Cake and seasonal varieties such as pumpkin and apple cinnamon, No Nut Nation is perfectly positioned to fill a growing need in the population. Over the past decade, the number of people diagnosed with nut allergies has more than tripled, with estimates of about 6 million school-age children, or 1 out of every 13, suffering from serious food allergies, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Haas and Eby established a nut free bakery production facility in Waldwick, NJ. Working with Food Industry experts including Rutgers Center for Advanced Food Technology and University of Nebraska’s Food Allergy Research & Resource Program (FARRP), the duo has achieved the highest standard of food quality and safety protocols.

"Once the decision was made to produce nut free items, we needed to do it responsibly for our customers, our friends and ourselves. We wanted to build a brand people could trust. We also wanted to use only the finest all-natural ingredients and have great tasting products that people with and without nut allergies would want to eat,” says Eby.

No Nut Nation items are also kosher. Recognizing the increasing demand, 1-800-Baskets.com now offers a variety of health, diet and allergy conscious gifts as part of their recently added Special Diets Collection.

Prior to co-founding No Nut Nation, Haas and Eby enjoyed successful careers in their respective fields as attorney and marketing executive. It is in fact this winning combination and entrepreneurial spirit that has led to No Nut Nation’s burgeoning success. Their product offerings continue to expand to meet the needs of the many families, schools, and communities seeking delicious, convenient, nut free baked goods. And, most importantly, Haas’ daughter, now 14 years old, gives Not Nut Nation the official two-thumbs up seal of approval.

About No Nut Nation

As the number of requests began to increase, their passion grew into a larger commitment to meet the need for high quality, appealing nut free options for the many families, schools, and communities seeking delicious, convenient, nut free baked goods and No Nut Nation was born. Sandra Haas and Jennifer Eby established a dedicated peanut and tree nut free baking facility in 2010 with a strict allergen protocol that also includes batch testing through an outside lab for the absence of the peanut protein.
