Kathy Griffin Comes Clean With Elvis Duran

It's no surprise Kathy Griffin, who is in town for her comedy show this friday at Carnegie Hall, opens up to Elvis FIRST about current celebrity "happenings." Elvis, who is brilliant at creating a comfortable environment in his Tribeca Z100 studio, let Kathy voice her opinions over the air waves this morning. Elvis pointed out during the interview how Kathy, who is known for taking jabs at many of these celebrities, has been often seen hanging around them. Elvis voiced his concern about how being in these circles now, could eventually tarnish her reputation as the "peoples person." Kathy quickly set Elvis at ease, as she explained that although she may be friends with some, there is no rule/agreement made preventing her from making fun of them.

This seemed to make sense to the entire Elvis Duran Morning Crew, as they continued to laugh hearing some hysterical Kathy Griffin celebrity interpretations. Kathy Griffin stopped by "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show", before she performs at Carnegie Hall for the New York Comedy Festival, this Friday at 8 PM. Her show is titled Kathy Griffin: Bite My Big Apple. Go to NewYorkComedyFestival.com for more info. Please find some fantastic quotes below, regarding the Kardashians, Cher, Kayne West, Amanda Bynes, Miley Cyrus, Ryan Seacrest and many more!

ON TWEETING WITH CHER

“I swear I have tried to give her [Cher] a Twitter lesson, although, I am turning into my own 93 year old alcoholic mother myself. I don’t drink, but I am also not a techie.”

ON THE KARDASHIANS

“I think there might be a turn in the world of Kardashians. I think people are done with them. I think they are done with the ones they tried to introduce this year like the boring sister in law who does yoga, and Brody who was in “The Hills”, and then I think there is one called Taffy? I think once Bruce Jenner becomes a woman it’s a completely different conversation.”

ON KRIS JENNER

“Kris Jenner has repeatedly said can you please stop calling my daughters dirty whores. I said no, its important, and what I do for America."

ON THE TWO SIDES OF KANYE WEST

“There is Kanye the musician and that’s fine, and there is the Taylor Swift moment which is the greatest thing that ever happened to her. She now has a pass for life. She could actually kick kittens in the face and we would be like, ‘Aw but there was that one time Kanye tried to take your award!’”

ON MILEY CYRUS

“I’m all about Miley. I love slutty Miley. I don’t care for Hannah Montana I find her boring. I like nudity on a wrecking ball.”

ON AMANDA BYNES

“Let me say this about Amanda Bynes. She is kind of not off limits. She is actually getting real legit health care and there are so many people that have whatever she has and aren’t, that I feel like she is going to be ok. She is in a fortunate position where people care about her and looking after her and she has parents.”

ON RYAN SEACREST

“I would say Ryan Seacrest and I have a cordial relationship because he gets that its all in good fun. Demi Lovato has an army. I get more death threats from Demi Lovato fans called Lovatics and the Tea Party than really any other group. Those two describe it in graphic detail.”

ON GWYNETH PALTROW

“Gwyneth Paltrow is not having my crap. I tried to make her laugh and she wasn’t having it. I had an 8x10 photo made and I signed it, “To Gwyneth”, and I signed her name wrong because I knew it would drive her crazy.”

ON DOING STAND UP

“When you do live stand up you really live for a moment where Justin Bieber is covered in probably a dirty bed sheet leaving a brothel… allegedly. This is almost knocking the Kanye rant out of my act.”

ON JOHN MAYER AND HOW SHE APPROACHES CELEBRITIES

“Recently I saw John Mayer and he kind of did the two fingers crossed like as if he was performing an exorcism. I do get that a lot. I am all about the observation. I call it like the boom mic. I have an imaginary one. I am not into confronting celebrities I’d rather observe and then talk smack about them later behind their backs.”
