Rod Stewart With Katie Couric And Penny Lancaster

On tomorrow's edition of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show “Katie,” airing Friday, May 10, Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster tells Katie Couric that she said no to joining the cast of the hit reality TV franchise. 

Following are advance excerpts from this show airing tomorrow.

Katie: "You turned down an opportunity to be on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, right Penny?"

Penny: "Yep"

Katie: "Why?"

Penny: "Cause I'm not a Beverly Hills wife." (audience applauds)

Penny: "I'm from England, as you all probably know, I and consider myself to be a down to earth girl next door so I just wouldn't fit into that."
