Mitt Romney Wants Corporations To Rule The World
Having just moved out of Times Square, after many years, I now have a beautiful huge apartment in Williamsburg Brooklyn with my son John. Moving has not been easy, in fact this was the hardest moves I ever made. But ordering new stuff for this apartment has had it's ups and downs.
I walked away from Walmart a few years ago after they sent the wrong order. I had spent thousands at Walmart every year. Over a thirty dollar order, they lost my business for a long time. I decided to give them another chance and now they have lost me for good. The following is why.
I went to Walmart's site and ordered thousands of dollars of stuff for the new apartment. I ordered a big screen TV, I ordered very expensive carpeting, I ordered everything. One thing I ordered was a stupid laundry bag and for some reason they have a deal with Wayfair who advertises themselves as having a zillion things. The price of the bag was $ 6.37 for six assorted bags. I thought that was a good deal till I got a receipt and they charged another $8.97 for shipping. But still, I thought I was getting 6 good laundry bags, so I said the hell with it and I would just wait for the order.
It took Wayfair over a week to process a stupid laundry bag order. When it arrived, I was just shocked. It was only one bag. $8.97 for shipping one bag? I thought " where were the others".
I contacted Walmart. They passed me off to Wayfair. The first e mail I got from Wayfair was they were going to send me another one at no charge. They said it was a mistake on the website. A couple of days later I got another e mail telling me how to return the bag I received. Is this company crazy? I am supposed to wait on a post office line for hours, to return a $6.98 dollar bag to get another bag. I e mailed them back and forth. They said they can not honor what they advertised on the Walmart website and they would refund my money, but I had to send the bag back.
I called this ripoff company called Wayfair today. They told me to keep the bag and they would refund the money. I have not received the refund. They argued with me that they would not honor the website which said assorted 6 pack. They said they have removed that description. I checked and they have not. Here is what they have on their site.

Not only was this not assorted 6 bags, it was a white bag. Nothing was like they advertised and claimed to be selling.
So Wayfair is just one big ripoff company. I e mailed Walmart again tonight and once again they sent me back to Wayfair. So I again e mailed Walmart. Walmart is the one who has some kind of deal with Wayfair and Walmart needs to cancel that deal. It seems both companies are willing to lose a customer who spends thousands at a time over a $6.98 order. It is not the $6.98 order, its about customer service and doing the right thing.
Not to get off the subject, but Mitt Romney will have you believe corporations do a better job. They do not and this is why we have to elect Barack Obama again and send these rich people and rich corporations a message that we are tired of their s**t. This would never happen at a little mom and pop store. A small business would do everything to keep a good customer who spends thousands while companies like Walmart and Wayfair could give a crap. If these companies do not keep their word, then we should leave them, even if it costs us a little more someplace else.
