JULES BRAVE WILL 'FLIP YOUR HAIR' ON WFMU

On August 6th, Jules Brave will be featured on WFMU-FM’s "Minor Music" lineup showcasing her debut single, "Flip Your Hair," a girl’s anthem that urges girls not to worry what others think! At only 13 years old, singer/songwriter Jules Brave has already performed widely throughout the tri-state area, including performances with the notorious School of Rock atMaxwell’s, The Blender NYC, The Highline Ballroom NYC, and Mexicali Blues in Teaneck, NJ.

Jules Brave will be the first in the Summer/Fall lineup of WMFU’s "Minor Music," which features music from up and coming stars under the age of 18. Rolling Stone Magazine, The Village Voice, CMJ and the New York Press have all at one time or another called WFMU "the best radio station in the country" and the station has also been the subject of feature stories in The New York Times and on the BBC.

 

Jules is no stranger to live radio; she has sung and played bass live on Radio Station WFDU(Fairleigh Dickinson University) with the School of Rock and opened for the band Quiet Rock at The Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ. Jules attends Dwight Englewood School, where she studies piano and performs frequently. Recently, Jules has been focusing her time towards mastering her instruments and her songwriting and will be fulfilling those goals at a special program at Berklee College of Music this summer.
