Southampton Inn

Southampton Inn hosted a brainstorming breakfast called “It Takes a Village” to discuss the recent hardships and challenges Southampton retailers and business owners have endured within the past few years. Working together to build better businesses and creating a better local economy are the main goals of the “It Takes a Village” project, which is firmly rooted in the idea that banding together is the safest bet to endure the economic crisis many businesses are having trouble dealing with alone. The collective effort of retailers, restaurants, and recreational outlets throughout every season in Southampton has been and will be what sustains those businesses. The Inn’s breakfast allowed members of the community to exchange ideas and reach out a helping hand. The successful event acted to unite the Southampton community, and many ideas were generated for the upcoming weeks. It was also impossible to ignore the immense beauty of the region, which from Labor Day to Memorial Day showcases many brilliant and affordable businesses that selflessly have each other’s interests in mind.
