TRH Crown Prince Alexander And Crown Princess KatherineA charity lunch organized by Lifeline New York Humanitarian Organization, operating under the patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, was held last week at Le Cirque restaurant in aid of children without parental care and other projects in Serbia. It featured a special performance by Serbian opera singer Jadranka Jovanovic, accompanied by Nikola Rackov on the piano, special guest, Téa Orbet, Author of New York Times Best Seller, “The Tiger’s Wife,” as well as an exclusive ”live” auction featuring exclusive items such as a classic silhouette dress from VACCA by Julie Vacca. Those who attended included His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Muna Al-Nasser, Robert Vacca, Jean Shafiroff, David Patrick Columbia, Susan Gutfreund, Lisa Woodward, Darcy Rigas, Anne Prevost and Sassy Johnson.

From the fashion house of Domenico Vacca, The VACCA by Julie Vacca Spring 2012 collection was inspired by the classic film Indochine, where Julie was intrigued by the character portrayed by Catherine Deneuve. Creative director, Julie Vacca has produced a collection which includes beautiful leather dresses and silk gowns, as well as jumpsuits and menswear inspired dress shirts for a young cosmopolitan women. VACCA will be featured at Harrods in the United Kingdom, Tsum in Russia and the Domenico Vacca boutiques, located in New York, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Qatar.
To achieve its mission, Lifeline New York works with the HRH Crown Princess Katherine Humanitarian Foundation in Belgrade, which follows the principle of its founder who believes “we work for the benefit of all those in need, regardless of ethnicity or religion since we believe there are no borders in suffering”. One of their key programs is being “the parent” to orphans by addressing their physical, emotional, medical, recreational and educational needs. In this role, the organizations are focused on unleashing the potential of these children and helping to provide them with a brighter future.
