Jewelry Designers Berry Brown And Jill Lynn
Jill Lynn & Co, the popular jewelry emporium on Jobs Lane in Southampton Village offering Ms. Lynn’s brilliant creations will also feature the jewelry of designer Berry Brown the creative force behind the unique BB Jewels Gramercy Park.
Ms. Brown’s BB Jewels Gramercy Park Summer Collection 2011 will be exclusively shown at Jill Lynn beginning June 25 .The designer will also appear at a Trunk Show on June 25 from 4pm to 8pm benefiting Southampton Hospital.
In just a few short years, Brown has become well-known to discerning collectors for her unique necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings that exemplify Berry's passion and design aesthetic to create modern interpretations of elegant, timeless style for BB Jewels. Her company’s mission is to create new treasures that are inspired by beautiful antique designs. The Summer Collection features an array of pendant necklaces, bracelets with antique trimmings as bands, stackable rings, vintage lockets dangling from bead or pearl chains and a myriad of one-of-a-kind creations all incorporating vintage elements for a demure but contemporary look. 20% of net proceeds will be donated to the Southampton Hospital. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served
The designer’s love of old world accessories began as a child. Her paternal grandparents collected an eclectic range of jewelry. Her mother and grandmother both have a knack for crafts and she grew up surrounded by homemade baskets, textiles, clothes, pillows and more. Her personal passion for jewelry led her to create BB Jewels Gramercy Park. Her jeweled creations have seen in O Magazine and More and actress Brooke Shields sported one of Brown’s necklaces in an appearance on The View.
Extending beyond jewelry to home furnishings, she has recently launched a collection of pillows made with vintage fabrics embellished with antique buttons.
Following a career in journalism, Berry decided to pursue her passion for design full time. Scouring flea markets and antique stores from Paris to Brooklyn, she is always on the lookout for unusual vintage jewelry and textiles which become the elements for new designs. Her jewelry collections in silver and gold, feature antique elements combined with precious and semi-precious gems, pearls and rare glass beads.
Also participating in the trunk show to celebrate Jill Lynn & Co.’s 12th Anniversary will be J.Nicmus Collection, by Joelle Nicole. The collection consists of limited edition 100% pure silk scarves and handcrafted one-of-a-kind sliced agate cuff bracelets accented with semi precious gemstone made in the United States. Jennifer Brown Collection, beautiful handcrafted sterling silver creations combined with Genuine Murano Glass and Jill Lynn, Fine Jewelry Collection, Handcrafted one-of-a-Kind and Limited Edition Jewelry created in 14k &18k gold accented with natural precious and semi-precious gemstones. 20% of net proceeds will be donated to the Southampton Hospital.
