Comedienne Judy Gold will be the featured headline entertainer during Trump Taj Mahal’s second FUN AND GAY-MES Weekend. Gold will bring her “25 Questions for a Jewish Mother” and other hilarious observations to the Xanadu Theatre at Trump Taj Mahal on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Show time is 9:00 pm, with doors opening one hour prior to show time. Gold is an Emmy Award winning actress and comedienne, who is the star of the critically acclaimed long-running Off Broadway hit show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, for which she was nominated for a 2006 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance. She was nominated twice for The American Comedy Award’s Funniest Female Stand-up. For more on Judy, visit www.judygold.com. Then on Sunday, April 25, the South Jersey AIDS Alliance will again bring Red Ribbon Bingo to the Xanadu Theatre from 3 to 5 pm—featuring Atlantic City’s daring Diva Miss Sandy Beach and the Miss’d America Boardwalk Beauties, bringing back their side-splitting, show-stopping performances between games of Red Ribbon Bingo, which benefits the South Jersey AIDS Alliance. This month’s Red Ribbon Bingo theme is “The 70’s” and guests are encouraged to take part in the theme. Put on your grooviest bell bottoms, your platform shoes and chains and “disco” on over to Red Ribbon Bingo featuring the funniest, campiest Disco Bingo Divas around, with Hostess Sandy Beach and Bingo caller extraordinaire, “Mortimer, beginning at 3:00 pm. Audience interaction is encouraged, with the chance to win cash and prizes for “Best Dressed,” “Best Decorated Table” and other categories. Red Ribbon Bingo will return again on May 23, so watch for our next fabulous theme! Immediately following Bingo, you can “Boogie” on upstairs to the Casbah and dance to the music of DJ Jimmy Depre. Have a cocktail and mix with your old friends or make some new ones, and “shake your groove thing” with the MRE Go-Go Dancers.
Editors Note: We are heading to Atlantic City on Sunday for a few days. We just love the beaches, the excitement and most of all the people. The history in this city just can not be beat. Even know rain is in the forecast, there is just so much to do, rain or shine. We are going to stop by the the world class restaurant Gallagher's in Resorts Ocean Tower, zip over Casbah at Trump Taj Mahal for a few drinks, and maybe a few nightcaps at the Wild West or the famed Irish pub right off the boardwalk. We just love this city!
