RIP TORN ARRESTED AND CHECKS INTO REHAB

Funnyman actor Rip Torn has checked into rehab, following his arrest on Friday for breaking into a bank with a loaded gun while intoxicated. The 78-yer-old star was arraigned Monday in Salisbury, Connecticut, on charges of trespassing, possession of a firearm without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, criminal mischief and burglary, according to the New York Daily News. Torn immediately checked into an alcohol rehab center after posting $100,000 bond. His lawyer insists that Torn had no intention of committing a crime.
