We learned that WNBC anchor Sue Simmons celebrated her 30th year at NBC yesterday, a huge milestone for anyone in this business. We have always enjoyed seeing Sue at events around New York City. This classy lady always has a huge smile and something funny to say. Though we have not seen her in a very long time around town, we guess it's us, as we really tend to stay in more as we age here at Times Square Gossip writing stories and editing photos. Sue is one of the few who can bring a smile to the viewers face. Her wit and her sense of humor are incredible. Her famous impression of a Groundhog on Groundhog day has brought laughs and happy faces to millions of viewers for many many years. She has a way of reporting the news with energy and facts, that very few people in New York Have. If we were to make a list of the best anchors in New York City, there would be only a few on this list. Ken Rosato from WABC Morning News, Kaity Tong from WPIX, Ernie Anastos and Rosanna Scotto from Fox and then there is Sue Simmons. Thank God they are all on at different times. But since we have millions of readers on Times Square Gossip and are syndicated on many other sites, including TheInsider.com and TV.com, we just wanted to say happy 30th anniversary to Sue Simmons, and to thank you for bringing smiles to New Yorkers for many years!
