Steppin Out magazine's Chaunce Hayden, recently spoke with stunning Australian model Saskia Neillsen about her run-in with Piven and how she feels about the actor who tried so desperately to win her affections... Saskia NeillsenHayden: Rumor has it that Jeremy Piven has a crush on you. Well?
Saskia Neillsen: I'm not a PR slut. I could not give a shit. Pardon my language. I'm not trying to be famous from a scandal. Yes, I've had a run-in with Jeremy Piven, but I've also had many other run-ins with actors and famous people. I really couldn't give a shit about all that crap.
Hayden: There was a story in the New York Daily news that claims Jeremy Piven texted several women at once during Britney Spears' New York birthday bash back in January. The first one to text him back got to have sex with him in his hotel room. Were you one of those girls?
Saskia Neillsen: One of the girls I know [Ashley Chontos] actually hooked up with him that night. I believe she f****d him and tried to turn it into a career. I wouldn't put it past the girl. I could have done the same thing, but it doesn't interest me. We work with the same people, and she's always competing with me. The real story is... that night, he grabbed my BlackBerry and wrote his number in it. The whole night he kept texting me. That night, he texted me 15 times! I was like, “Whoa! This guy is really full on!” But it was never “come to my place, and you get me.” I think he knew I wasn't like that. But I didn't meet him because what's the point? It's not going to make me a better actress. I knew if I met him he would think it's just a motive to get on “Entourage.” So, I ignored him and he went away.
Hayden: But maybe we're not giving Jeremy the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he just wanted to go on a date with you because he liked you.
Saskia Neillsen: He liked me like he likes all the other girls. I'm one of many girls. The only difference is that I'm not that type of girl. He's the type of guy who will go up to any girl, it doesn't matter if she's fat, short, tall, blonde, brunette or whatever. He just hopes out of the group he'll get one or two. Real actors like DeNiro or Redford are never in tabloids or in scandals. They don't need stupid publicity crap to feed their egos and what they do. Guys like Jeremy Piven are all about crap publicity. Jeremy's been an actor for 20 years and he's only really made it in the past 10. He's a guy who's been a struggling actor for a really long time, and now he's getting all this praise. That can go to someone's head. You would think it would be the opposite, but it's not. A real actor doesn't live the lifestyle that Jeremy lives.
Hayden: Tell me how you really feel.
Saskia Neillsen: I'm just telling you how I see it. I'm not like other girls. For instance, I was just with Nicholas Cage the other night. Now, I just named dropped, and I really don't want to do that. I treat them like they're normal people. At the end of the day, these actors breathe the same way we do.
Hayden: How many celebrities have you turned down?
Saskia Neillsen: I won't give you a number, but I've had the opportunity to sleep with a lot of celebrities if I really wanted to. But what would that make me? A star fucker? That's something I don't inspire to be. So many skanks sleep with celebrities just because they think it will make them famous. I see girls chucking themselves at celebrities all the time.
Hayden: So we shouldn't blame Piven for being Piven?
Saskia Neillsen: Look what he did. He sent a text out to several women at once. Is he a dog? Yes, but he sent that message out and girls replied. If he weren't a celebrity, he would just be another guy. Jeremy is not the only one who is like that. I understand his behavior, but after speaking to him, I could see he was blind. He doesn't get it. He's not a hungry actor anymore. He took on a Broadway show and didn't realize how much work it is... that you have to go to bed early and not go out. You have to connect to your fellow actors and commit to it. He's blind. He got sucked into the Hollywood ocean.
Hayden: Last week a Russian actress and former Playboy model named Irini Voronina claimed in Steppin' Out magazine that she was groped on the set of Entourage by the starring actors. When she refused their advances she was kicked out onto the street during the middle of a scene. Do you believe her story?
Saskia Neillsen: I find it really hard to believe that HBO would waste a day of shooting like that. The story sounds very fishy to me. Time is money. They wouldn't do that without a really good reason.
Hayden: She claims she was told that she wasn't being nice to “the boys”…If you get my drift.
Saskia Neillsen: The first thing that comes to my mind when you say a Russian girl is Russian hooker. That's the first thing I think of. You have to wonder if she gave off a “I'm Russian and really easy” vibe on the set. Did she set herself up for that? The story just doesn't sound believable.
Hayden: Finally, what could Jeremy have done that night to win your affections?
Saskia Neillsen: I like modesty. That's what wins me over with anyone. Jeremy is in a pool of people just like him. They'll use their fame to take advantage of people. I prefer someone who's more sincere. I don't need to sell myself out.
