Dennis Riese Presents Check


Proving that some big wigs really do give back, Dennis Riese, head of the Riese Corporation , presented a check worth $150,000 to City Meals On Wheels at an event last week. City-meals-on-Wheels raises private funds to ensure no home bound elderly New Yorker will ever go a day without food or human company. Last year, the family of contributors helped us bring over 2.2 million nutritious meals to 18,065 frail aged in every borough of New York City. Dennis Riese is a member of the Board of Directors of City-meals-On-Wheels and, since 1994, The Riese Organization has involved approximately 1.7 million New Yorkers in its annual "Round-Up" campaign and raised more than $1,500,000 in contributions. Riese Restaurants is the sponsor of the Riese Restaurants Training Center in conjunction with the New York City. Department for the Aging. The Dennis Riese Film Production Fund at the Tisch School of the Arts,of which he is on the Dean's Council, helped fund Keiko Ibi's student thesis film that won the Academy Award for Best Short Documentary in 1999.
