Hollywood star Mel Gibson's long marriage is over. His wife of 28 years, Robyn, has filed for divorce. The legal documents, obtained by TMZ.com, were filed in Los Angeles California today. The actor's wife has cited "irreconcilable differences" for the breakup. The Gibson's have seven children. In the legal papers, Robyn is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple's youngest son, Tom, who is their only minor child. She is also asking for spousal support and attorneys' fees. The couple, which reportedly have no prenuptial agreement, has vowed not to release any more details about their split. A spokesperson for Mel and Robyn Gibson has issued a statement that reads, "Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so."
