Comedy series 30 ROCK was a three time winner at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles California last night, but Hollywood was celebrating SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and HEATH LEDGER. After claiming the gold at the Golden Globe Awards and Producers Guild Awards, director Danny Boyle’s movie was named the Best Film at the SAGs making it a clear favorite for the big prize at the Oscars next month. Meanwhile, Kate Winslet’s good luck continued as she walked away with the Best Supporting Actress accolade for her role in The Reader, and Ledger, who recently landed a Golden Globe, was again posthumously honored for his work as The Joker in Batman, The Dark Knight. The tragic star’s co-star Gary Oldman admitted he was "quite emotional" as he stepped up to accept Ledger’s honor. Oldman called the Aussie an "extraordinary young man with an extraordinary talent." The Dark Knight was among the night’s double winners after claiming the Best Stunt Ensemble prior to the actual start of the prize giving. Meryl Streep and Sean Penn claimed the SAGs for Best Actress and Actor.
