KATY PERRY'S HAS HOMOPHOBIC MOTHER

Katy Perry's mom is branding her hit song I Kissed a Girl "shameful and disgusting", insisting she is disappointed in her daughter for "promoting a sin". Mary Hudson, an evangelical Christian preacher, is hitting out at the track, which spent seven weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 U.S. chart and is currently holding the top spot on the U.K. singles chart. Hudson says, "I hate the song. It clearly promotes homosexuality and its message is shameful and disgusting."Katy knows how I feel. We are a very outspoken family and she knows how disappointed her father and I are. I can’t even listen to that song. The first time I heard it I was in total shock. When it comes on the radio I bow my head and pray." And Hudson admits that she doesn’t agree with the direction the 23-year-old’s life has taken since she became famous. She adds, "Katy is our daughter and we love her but we strongly disagree with how she is conducting herself at the moment."We cannot cut her out of our lives as she is our child - but she knows we disagree strongly with what she is doing and the message she is promoting regarding homosexuality which the Bible clearly states is a sin."

Katy's mother is not "homophobic". She has the right to her beliefs, just like those who promote the gay agenda do. She is disgusted with the message of the song, in accordance with her religion. Since when did it become wrong to have and express conservative religious beliefs? Let me guess. Is it when the gay agenda finally began taking hold and they realized that they cannot change the views of Christians and as such, they seek to turn others against them by the clever usage of negative labels? Yep. I'm sure I guessed right. I've never heard that song and if I had children, I wouldn't let them listen to it because where I come from, homosexuality is something that is hidden-as it should be.

Wow. Those first two comments here are absolutely *appalling*. You Bible Bigots never learn. You should try opening up a book written *this* century!

The LGBT community is the popular minority group to discriminate against these days, particularly among ultra-conservatives. Christians believe it's a sin to *disbelieve* in their version of a "God", yet you don't see them collectively going after atheists, Jews, Taoists, Muslims & Buddhists, trying to prevent them from marrying/adopting children...as they've done with gays.

Discrimination against the LGBT community is one of the last forms of bigotry that's still considered acceptable in parts of this country. And in 50-100 years, people will shake their heads that people with such vile beliefs had a significant influence on our society. Mark. My. Words. It's happened to blacks. It's happened to women. And it's currently happening to gays. As I said, the more ignorant and obtuse among us never learn.

In other news, I mainly listen to late 60s, 70s and early 80s music, but the rock remix of "I Kissed a Girl" is currently one of my favorite songs. :-) My nieces, nephew, their mother and I were jammin' to it in the car the other day. ;-)
