Sting Gets Shaved In Final Concert At Garden

****

Adding even more spectacle to an already historic final reunion show of The Police at New York's Madison Square Garden, Singer and bassist Sting took a surprise break after the main set and before the first encore –to step into a John Allan’s mobile grooming club back stage. Sting laid back in a vintage barber chair as two John Allan's grooming pros shaved the salt-and-pepper beard with an exclusive John Allan's 63 Series Razor, John Allan's new Slick Water Pre-Shave and JA Shave Cream. Sting's beard has been the subject of media interest and plenty of scrutiny for the past several months and most recently, although Sting was quoted defending his new growth saying "the ladies love it." His impromptu make over was beamed live to the audience on giant screens above the stage as thousands of fans cheered on John Allan's team. In just over 4 minutes, Sting got a John Allan's signature treatment including a complete shave with exclusive new phenomenal Slick Water pre-shave solution, which helped John Allan's team give Sting during a super close and super fast shave, a manicure, a hot towel and a shoe shine, complete with a kiss from his band member Stewart Copeland! Sting then came out with his band members to unveil his new fresh look to the roars of approval from the Garden Crowd!
Sting and The Police received 63 Series razors and a special handmade John Allan’s python razor set to celebrate the end of their tour. It was a star studded night, both backstage and on the Garden floor. Leo DiCaprio, Bruce Springsteen, Rosanna Arquette, James Gandalofini, Gerard Butler, Paul Rudd, Dylan McDermott and many other stars and VIP’s, including Mayor Bloomberg. Sting, drummer Stewart Copeland and guitarist Andy Summers reunited for a world tour last May and have since played 150 concerts for 3.7 million people. Last nights event also was a benefit for New York Public Television.
