RON BURKHARDT RETURNS TO THE HAMPTONS

After 3 years of exhibitions and awards in Europe, Brazil, California, Chicago, Palm Beach and Miami, Ron Burkhardt returned to the Hamptons for a one-man show of his Notism genre of abstract contemporary art at Peter Marcelle's Hampton Road Gallery in Southampton. Despite the fact that there were a half dozen major glittering galas the same evening, Burkhardt’s show drew over 300 of the East End’s most prominent art connoisseurs and legions of fans to this stunning exhibition of provocative new works. Burkhardt is the founder of the Notism abstract art movement, evolved hieroglyphics that form a unique visual record as he documents personal histories. In seeking to preserve intimate human writing, his primal work explores the power of words, symbols and language, and confronts the frenetic, multi-tasking overload of modern society.Touted on NBC as "the newest form of art out there," and by art critic/curator Peter Frank as "an art form whose inexactitude is a crucial part of its beauty...with an impressive pedigree. Miro, Klee, Cy Twombly, Basquiat and Jean Dubuffet could all have been "notists" as it were..."Burkhardt has been honored with 30 shows in the past six years and featured on NBC-TV. Details about his work may be found on HERE.

I recently ran into Ron Burkhardt quite by accident, as I was in Laguna Beach and he happened to be there working in his studio. Not only is he a fascinating man; he is an artist of considerable depth and magnitude. Several oils not featured on his website were at the studio, and I had the good fortune to purchase an ethereal, alien-esque piece which he has just completed. I believe we will be seeing more of this man and his amazing art.

I, as well, recently met Ron at a media event, we were being interviewed by the same reporter. I am purchasing several of his larger paintings for my home; he is also doing a special commission.
I just love the colors

I saw Ron Burkhardt's work in a gallery show a couple of years ago in New York. It gave me a special feeling then; I am a rather heavy person, and his colorful, energized oil paintings make me feel light and carefree. I didn't know he had become so famous; good for him....

I have seen Ron's BARBARO collage in Paul Fisher's gallery in West Palm Beach - it is quite a stunning creation. It belongs in Kentucky, buy I am still considering purchasing it, even though I am not a HORSE person and really don't have anywhere to put something of it's magnitude. I just LIKE it. We'll see....WK
