Rock legends The Rolling Stones attempted to persuade director Martin Scorsese to film their historic 2006 free concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but the movie maker wasn’t interested. The famed director was the man behind the camera for the Stones’ new concert film Shine A Light, but he had no desire to shoot the group performing for almost a million people on Copacabana Beach. Icon Mick Jagger recalls, "I asked Martin if he’d like to shoot that concert, because I thought that concert was going to look amazing."He came in and we pitched him the idea and he didn’t like it. He said, ‘My real talent is to do intimacy.’"
