THE JONAS BROTHERS MAY LEAVE LABEL
The Jonas Brothers
Teen idols The Jonas Brothers are thinking of ignoring a contract with record industry giants EMI, because other big name artists have already left the record label. EMI were bought out last year by capital group Terra Firma and the label has since seen the exit of a host of very important artists including Radiohead, the Rolling Stones and Beatle Paul McCartney. And now The Jonas Brothers label Disney has expressed concerns over EMI’s ability to market their new album and could strip the company of its global distribution rights. Disney’s profitable international rights, which also include both the Hannah Montana and High School Musical franchises, could now be awarded to Universal Music Group, reports RollingStone.com.
