Broadway Hit "THE DROWSY CHAPERONE" finally ended it's run at the Marriot Marquis Theatre on Sunday December 30, 2007. The final show played to repeated standing ovations and truly thunderous applause during it's curtain calls. Bob Saget was the final Broadway Man In Chair and Bob Martin who originated the role snuck in on the final night playing the "super" much to the surprise and delight of the audience! TONY AWARD winner Beth Leavel and her counterpart Danny Burstein, The Chaperone and her Latin lover Adolfo pulled out all the stops for the final show, Leavel received one of the longer standing ovations of recent memory and deservedly so.Bob Saget and Cindy Williams were only in the show the last few weeks, each making their Broadway debuts. After a tearful curtain call the crowd made their way over to HAVANA CENTRAL , 151 West 46th Street where current and former cast members and several hundred of their closest friends partied the night away. THE DROWSY CHAPERONE enjoyed a short run in London's West End and now continues a successful tour throughout the United States, featuring Bob Martin and Georgia Engel.
