Take That

Take That want to open next year's BRIT Awards. The four-piece boy band believe they are the best candidates to kick-off the awards show on February 20 following another successful year, which saw them top the UK charts with their single 'Shine', while their 'Beautiful World Tour' sold out in under an hour.Singer Jason Orange, 37, said: "We've got to do the BRITs, haven't we?"We'd show that pop is back and do 'Shine', with all the glitz and glamour from the video. That's our new 'Back for Good' and it'd be perfect for the BRITs."The group - Jason, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, who reformed in 2005 for a reunion tour - are determined to follow-up their 'Beautiful World' album with new material.Gary, 36, said: "We'll start writing another album after Christmas and all that is out of the way. Of course we're going to do a follow-up to 'Beautiful Word' - we would be mad not to."The group's former bandmate Robbie Williams is also rumored to be in talks about performing at next year's BRITs.Robbie checked into rehab for addiction to prescription drugs a day before this year's BRITs, where Take That won an award for their comeback single 'Patience'.
