WILL SMITH'S 'HITCH' TO BECOME SERIES
Will Smith is to turn his hit film 'Hitch' into a TV series.The 'Men In Black' star - who played a professional date doctor in the 2005 romantic comedy - will be executive producer of the show, but will not star in it himself. The project - which is backed by Smith's production company Overbrook Entertainment - is currently being pitched to several TV networks. Meanwhile, Smith's publicist, Heidi Schaeffer, has rubbished rumours he is to direct a remake of hit 80s movie 'The Karate Kid', starring his son Jayden and Jackie Chan playing karate guru Mr. Miyagi. Shaeffer said: "He is certainly not. I don't know where that came from."Smith recently signed up to star as the owner of a global media conglomerate in new movie 'Empire'.The drama will be directed by Michael Mann, who helmed 2001's 'Ali', for which Smith earned an Oscar nomination starring as boxing legend Mohammed Ali.
