Michelle Rodriguez
Michelle Rodriguez has been sentenced to 180 days in jail. The 'Lost' star - who failed to complete 30 days of community service for breaking probation terms stemming from a 2003 DUI (driving under the influence) charge - must turn herself in to a Los Angeles County jail by 5pm on December 24. Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said: "She admitted violating her probation by failing to provide proof of completion of her community service and for consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol-monitoring device."She did file a document that said she completed community service on September 25th, but we obtained evidence that she was in New York that day."Superior Court Judge Daviann L. Mitchell also ruled Rodriguez - who will not be eligible for early release or to serve her time under house arrest - must complete 30 days of community service with the California Department of Transportation picking up litter. In 2004, Rodriguez was placed on three years probation after pleading no contest to DUI, hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license in connection with two incidents in Hollywood in 2003. In 2005, she violated her probation when she was arrested for DUI in Hawaii and subsequently sentenced to two months in jail. The 29-year-old actress served just four hours and 20 minutes of her sentence at California's Century Regional Detention Facility in May this year, because of overcrowding. Rodriguez's probation was then extended until June 2009 and she was ordered to complete community service.
