JENNIFER GARNER WILL STAR ON BROADWAY

Jennifer Garner will star in a Broadway revival of 'Cyrano de Bergerac', it has been confirmed.The 'Alias' star is set to play love interest Roxanne opposite Kevin Kline who will play Bergerac, in the production due to open at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City on November 1. David Leveaux will direct the revival of Edward Rostand's classic romance, which was translated and adapted by Anthony Burgess.Garner - who has a 20-month-old daughter, Violet, with husband Ben Affleck - has already begun rehearsing, ahead of previews from October 12.The play will run until December 23.'The Devil Wears Prada' actor Daniel Sunjata will play Christian, the handsome soldier who is also in love with Roxanne.Kline, a two-time Tony winner, starred in a production of 'King Lear' last season at the Public Theatre but this will be Garner's first leading role on Broadway.'Cyrano de Bergerac' was last seen on Broadway in 1984 in a Royal Shakespeare Company production starring Derek Jacobi and Sinead Cusack.Jose Ferrer starred in a popular revival of the play in 1946 and received an Oscar in 1950 for his performance in a film version.Steve Martin starred as Bergerac in the 1987 movie adaptation of the play, called 'Roxanne'.
