Former Jerry Springer bouncer Steve Wilkos, who launches "The Steve Wilkos Show" Sept. 10 on Ch. 11 in New York (Check your listings elsewhere), is teaming with The St. Baldrick's Foundation, which shaves heads in an effort to call attention to children battling cancer. Wilkos (who's bald as a cue ball) was over at Columbia- Presbyterian Medical Center the other day meeting with children and signing autographs (and shaving some heads for the "CW11 Morning News" cameras), then headed to Trenton, N.J. to the Boys and Girls Club there to do the same. Then it's off across the East coast then West coast to promote cancer causes in The Steve Wilkos R.V.... Cancer is a very important issue for Wilkos. His mother is involved with the Wigs For Kids charity that gets wigs for cancer children who go bald from treatment.
