The View Whoopi Goldberg's view of Donald Trump’s decision to award Rush Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom during his State of the Union address. Whoopi wasn’t impressed by her co-host Meghan McCain’s rationale for why the president would give the controversial talk show host the award. On Wednesday’s episode of “The View,” Goldberg started things off by referencing Limbaugh’s recent announcement that he has advanced lung cancer before admitting she didn’t think he deserved the nation’s highest civilian honor. “You know, I am very sorry that Rush is ill, because you never want to wish bad stuff on people,” Goldberg said. “He has stage 4 cancer. Police Rescue Body From East River Yesterday there was a suicide in Hunters Point South Park. According to witnesses the man approached Park department workers and claimed he was being chased from Staten Island by people that wanted to kill him. Park department workers said he appeared to be on something, that he was delusional and was rambling away before he fled to the waterfront and jumped in.  Police were called to the scene right away, with the NYPD 108th precinct and the NYPD Harbor Patrol responding. The man was face down in the east river and his body was pulled onto the boat where EMS were waiting to try and revive the man.
