Madonna On Tour Presidential candidate John McCain is taking aim at Madonna after the singer seemingly used her latest world tour to compare the Republican leader to history’s most notorious dictators.The superstar kicked off her Sweet & Sticky tour in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday, and featured McCain in a video segment which accompanied the song Get Stupid. In the footage, watched by thousands of fans, the Republican politician’s image was flashed up alongside scenes of destruction, global warming and starving children. Adolf Hitler and Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe also appeared on-screen. John McCain’s representatives are furious at the singer’s comparisons, stating fans of democratic contender Barack Obama will stop at nothing to smear McCain’s campaign. The Republican’s spokesman Tucker Bounds says, "The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time. Television judge Sharon Osbourne quit the British TV talent show The X Factor because arguing with her fellow judges left her so exhausted. The wife of singing legend Ozzy Osbourne announced she was stepping down in June after a series of rows with co-hosts Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, and Louis Walsh. And she is insisting the demands of the show, in which she claims contestants are deliberately "pushed" to make "good TV" - wore her down. She says of the arguments, "It is definitely not put on, it’s a very emotional show to work on. You have a huge responsibility to a lot of people, and everybody gets over-emotional. Jerry Springer Television icon Jerry Springer loves Britain - because Winston Churchill defeated the Nazis and saved his parents from the Holocaust. The talk show star has taken part in U.K. TV channel BBC1’s Who Do You Think You Are? show, in which famous faces trace their family tree. And he tells program-makers he will always owe a debt of gratitude to World War II allied forces for liberating Germany. Springer says, "Britain saved my parents’ life. They were real Anglophiles. I’m an American, but I have a phenomenal love for this country. "I’m always looking for work here, not because I need a job, but because I’m looking for an excuse to come here. I’ll always be grateful - Churchill is a human god, and I wouldn’t be here talking to you if it wasn’t for him." Hollywood star Eva Mendes was thinking about a career as a nun long ago. The actress was brought up as part of a strict Catholic family by her Cuban-American parents, and Mendes admits that her religion nearly played a big part in her career choices, until she found out about the meager salaries given to members of the church. She says, "I guess there is this little Catholic girl inside me somewhere. But I did want to be a nun when I was very little. "Well, that was until my sister told me that they don’t get paid. Blake Lively A New York City impostor is pretending to be Licker Lindsay Lohan and Blake Lively's personal manager and is wreaking havoc in the Big Apple, by booking parties and shopping sprees for the stars which never take place. The man is calling himself Roy Cohen and has called exclusive Big Apple boutiques Prada and Gucci to request private store viewing sessions for Lohan and arranged a bash for Lively at the Empire Hotel by Lincoln Center. But the New York Post claims neither actress showed up, and Lohan’s publicist is dubbing Cohen a hoax. Closeted Ricky Martin Pop superstar Christina Aguilera is congratulating new dad Ricky Martin, after the he announced he is the father of twin boys. The sexy Puerto Rican star revealed his big news last week, explaining the babies were born to a surrogate mother. And Aguilera, who welcomed son Max into the world in January is thrilled for him. She tells Usmagazine.com, "Congratulations! It is the best thing you will ever do in your life. I’m sure he is such a proud papa!" And she reveals she can’t wait to get pregnant again with husband Jordan Bratman: "(Being a mother) just gives you a whole new sense of purpose, and it’s just the most amazing thing.
