Wanda Sykes On Wendy Williams Wendy Williams helped the hilarious Wanda Sykes fulfil a lifelong ambition on the eve of her 50th birthday the other day. The star wanted to perform as a backup singer. The pair glammed up in gold sequins and crooned along to the hit R&B song "Respect". Of her bucket list of things to accomplish before she turns the big five-oh, Wanda said, "Nothing that the military does, you know what I'm saying? That's where I draw the line. I'm past the age, I don't need to say 'wheee' anymore. I'm not jumping out of a plane, no. I don't do that. But I do want to, I love music and I would love to like, be a backup singer. Wanda Sykes Former television show star Wanda Sykes is celebrating after becoming a mom to beautiful twins. Sykes' wife, Alex, gave birth to the couple's children on April 27th.
