Image
Steve Dunleavy With Geraldo Rivera It is a very sad day for us old time media reporters. NY Post legend Steve Dunleavy has died in his Long Beach Long Island home at 81.  Dunleavy was the last of the old time hard drinking newsman. I spent a lot of time with Steve in our hangout Langans and partying around New York City going from party to party.  We had many adventures. I remember a few of them. Geraldo Rivera I remember had a boat cruise around Manhattan. We got ripped. Dunleavy was working at A Current Affair then. At the end of the cruise I asked Dunleavy to pose with the handicapped kids in wheelchairs that were on the cruise. He sat on their laps and they loved it. We left the docks together. He wanted to go to Current Affair studios at FOX 5 and I was so drunk I could not remember where they were. We got into a cab and Dunleavy passed out. I kept trying to wake him up to tell the cab driver where the studio was, to no avail.  The cab I had cruising...

Mancow With Steve Dunleavy And Geraldo Rivera   Geraldo Rivera With James Edstrom And Mancow Muller It is very sad to hear that Broadway Langan's is closing down. I spent many years there hanging out with all my friends and colleagues  from The New York Post. I worked on stories with Steve Dunleavy and took my celebrity and media friends there. I also always made a mandatory stop there when I was on Fox News as a guest.  I had beers with Congressman Barney Frank and cable icon Barry Z. I joked many times with The Speaker Of The House Newt Gingrich there who also loved his beer. I brought Radio Shock Jock Mancow Muller there and Talk Show Host Steve Wilkos. I dined there with Emmy Award winner Rita Cosby and I had more drinks there than I can remember. I partied with NY Post Editor Col Allen and many times I would Take Dunleavy to the Post offices to put him to sleep. This was our hangout.  Just another lost NYC watering hole lost becau...

PHOTO OF THE COWARD WHO BOMBED PORT AUTHORITY

JUST IN: The suspected Port Authority bomber has been identified as 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, an ISIS-inspired Brooklyn man https://t.co/sI8z5juTQO pic.twitter.com/hZxcDfYeP2 — New York Post (@nypost) December 11, 2017 Once again we were attacked. This coward Akayed Ullah should spend the rest of his life in jail. When are we ever going to be safe from these extremists who go after innocent people? Each and every one of these thugs should spend the rest of their lives in general population where they are beaten and raped.  They need to live the misery they cause countless of Americans who have to live with the injuries and deaths caused by their ruthless actions.

THE LEGEND OF GOSSIP LIZ SMITH DIES AT AGE 94

Image
**** NEW YORK LOSES ANOTHER ICON **** A never-before-seen interview with Liz Smith It is very sad that Gossip Legend Liz Smith has passed away. Having known her for almost 30 years, she was a legend and a lady with class. Before the Internet and before cell phones and faxes, you knew you made it in NYC if you had Liz Smith's phone number to give her a juicy item or to just chat. I would often call and do both. In the early days in my career in the 80's, I would be at so many events with Liz Smith.  Liz was always laughing, always happy and always the toast of the party. I really like her. Bette Midler And Liz Smith The last time I saw Liz Smith was on second ave a few months ago. She was using a walker and heading to dinner. How I wish I went to dinner with her to talk about the 'good old times'.  The above video from the NY Times is great. Also the history of Liz Smith in the New York Times is very interesting reading.  New York Ci...
