Pacquiao was recently quoted as saying gay people were "worse than animals" and later read a bible verse that suggested gay people should be put to death. Upon entering The Venetian, the main event fighters – Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri – flanked by the Top Rank Knockouts, were greeted by fans that had lined the Grand Colonnade hours before the fighters’ arrival. The fighters are on a 12-day, 27,273-mile media tour to promote the November 22, fight at the Cotai Arena in The Venetian Macao. During the four-day mission, Starkey Hearing Foundation delivered the gift of hearing to 1,400 patients with the Foundation team of audiologists and staff fitting each of the recipients with their own custom-made, hearing device. The mission took place at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
