Rihanna Pop star Leona Lewis is keeping her distance herself from the Rihanna and Chris Brown scandal after she was accused of flirting with the singer before he allegedly lashed out at his award winning girlfriend. Leona reportedly upset Rihanna at a Clive Barnes pre-Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles California on Saturday night, by making moves on her boyfriend. The couple left the event and minutes later they were part of a police investigation following a hysterical emergency call suggesting Brown had beaten an unnamed female. Reports later suggested the woman involved was his girlfriend, Rihanna, who was allegedly hospitalized after the fight. Brown later handed himself into police and was charged with making criminal threats.Media speculation about the cause of the fight has been rampant in the days following the news, but Lewis is insisting her name should never even have been mentioned in connection with the incident at all. Houston is back on stage this year, after a lengthy break to battle alleged drug addictions, and a new album is being planned for release later in 2008. Now her mentor, music mogul Clive Davis, wants to give her a helping hand by teaming her with Bleeding Love pop sensation Lewis, reports the New York Post .
