Times Square Gossip

**** THE GLORIOUS CORNER Story By: G. H. HARDING **** Joan Rivers TRAILBLAZER RIVERS --- There was certainly no entertainer ever like Joan Rivers, who passed yesterday at 81. Since 1965 when she burst onto the scene, she was unlike anyone before her … and, really after. She came prepared and was literally a ball of fire. A comedy stiletto if you will. Rivers said what everyone felt; and, she was constantly criticized, but she made everyone laugh. Every female comedian since (from Ellen DeGeneres to Kathy Griffin), owes her a huge debut of gratitude. I saw her numerous times at Steve Walter’s Cutting Room and others shows and she never failed to ignite the audience. Other than Don Rickles, there is no other performer who even comes close. She’s the last of her kind for sure. At 81, her energy was amazing. She'll be missed… a lot. RIP Joan. Adam Lambert QUEEN ADAM --- Adam Lambert is finished touring with roc...

Joan Rivers Joan River died today at age 81.This is very sad news as I have photographed Joan so many times over the years. I was one of the staff photographers on the set of her CBS show and photographed Joan with every star that was a guest on the show. I was there when she was at St Paul's Church on Lexington Ave when she talked about her husbands sucide and the sadness I saw as she was trying to understand it all in her mind.  My favorite photo shoot with Joan was when Milton Berle was on her show. I never laughed so hard when he talked about the size of his "Number". The look on Joan's face was priceless. Joan's dogs also were the star. I must have photographed her with so many of her pets over the years. She adored them so much and I think they were good company for her.The world has lost another great icon.
