JERRY SEINFELD HAS LONG ISLAND CRASH

Image
Jerry Seinfeld was involved in a serious accident when the brakes on his vintage car failed, but walked away without serious injury, The New York Post reported on Thursday. Seinfeld, who became a billionaire thanks to the globally-syndicated comedy show named after him, was driving in the exclusive Hamptons region of Long Island, east of New York City, when the brakes failed and the car flipped over, the paper said. Miraculously, the comic walked away "without a scratch," the paper quoted his wife Jessica as saying. "He was a little shocked when he walked in and it started to dawn on him what happened," she said. "I was extremely relieved and grateful and I'm feeling very lucky that nothing happened."The incident occurred on Saturday evening, when Seinfeld was driving alone and realised the brakes were not working. He pulled the wheel hard to the right, to avoid hitting other traffic, and the car rolled over. The 1967 Fiat BTM rolled first onto the pa...

JERRY SEINFELD WANTS LAWSUIT DROPPED

Image
Television star Jerry Seinfeld insists he was "just joking" when he called chef Missy Chase Lapine a "wacko" for launching a plagiarism lawsuit against him and his wife. Lapine is suing the New York couple, claiming Seinfeld’s wife Jessica’s best selling cookbook Deceptively Delicious "brazenly plagiarised" her own book she wrote called 'The Sneaky Chef'. Both books describe how to hide healthy ingredients in children’s foods. And after hearing of the legal action, Seinfeld appeared on late night Television show 'The Late Show' and made jokes about the "vegetable plagiarism" facing the couple. But Seinfeld has now apologized for his comments and appealed to a judge to dismiss the lawsuit, according to the New York Daily News. In papers filed at a court in New York City, lawyers for the couple state: "Jerry Seinfeld made overstatements of opinion for comic effect."This action gives new meaning to the terms objectionably ...

WHATS COOKING WITH JERRY SEINFELD

Jerry Seinfeld Television star Jerry Seinfeld and his cookbook author wife Jessica are being sued by Missy Chase Lapine, who has accused the pair of copyright infringement and defamation. Chef and baby-products mogul Lapine claims the recipes in Jessica Seinfeld's best selling cookbook "Deceptively Delicious" are "brazenly plagiarized" from those in her own cookbook, "The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies For Hiding Healthy Foods In Kids' Favorite Meals," about hiding healthy ingredients in foods children will eat. The comic himself, who branded Lapine a "wacko" during a rant on "The Late Show" last year, has been accused of "malicious defamation" and named as a co-defendant. The lawsuit, filed Monday with the Federal District Court in New York City seeks unspecified damages.

JERRY SEINFELD SICK OF COSMO KRAMER

Jerry Seinfeld is sick of people asking him "Where’s Kramer?" - the oddball character in his hit comedy SEINFELD.The 53-year-old comic, currently in the U.K. promoting his animated movie Bee Movie, admits he’s bored of being asked questions about his fictional sidekick in the hit U.S. comedy, which ended almost a decade ago. He tells British chatshow host Jonathan Ross, "I still get people shouting ‘Where’s Kramer?’ all the time. But how do I know?! He doesn’t even exist anymore on a fictional basis." Cosmo Kramer was played by Michael Richards in the show, which aired from 1990 to 1998.
