  Ralph Macchio Georgina Bloomberg NYC Second Chance Rescue hosted its 6th Annual Rescue Ball at The Lighthouse, Chelsea Piers in New York City. The organization’s signature fundraising gala brought together animal advocates, philanthropists, and supporters for an evening dedicated to helping save the lives of dogs and cats in need. This year’s Rescue Ball honored Ralph Macchio, Rob and Marisol Thomas, founders of Sidewalk Angels Foundation, and Dr. Tom Walker, all of whom received the Angel & Hero Award for their dedication to animal welfare. Special guests included animal advocates Georgina Bloomberg and Elaine Hendrix, followed by a performance from John Lloyd Young, and DJ GEO ROC kept the energy going well into the night. The event will take place on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023, at The Muses in Southampton, NY. The grand soiree will be the highlight of this summer season out east. Chaired by Jean Shafiroff, the event honors Jon Ledecky, Co-owner, New York Islanders and Matt Meeker, co-founder and CEO, BARK.  The Honorary Chair will be Georgina Bloomberg.  The annual event has been the most important fundraiser for the shelter for over a decade.   Jean Shafiroff Jean Shafiroff With Rita Cosby And Judy Gilbert The not-for-profit animal rescue organization, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC (RDRNYC) held their ‘Cocktails for Canines’ annual gala in New York City. The cocktail and dinner reception gala raised funds and awareness to help animals in need and was co-chaired by Georgina Bloomberg and Lara Trump.  The Charity has acquired their own rescue and rehabilitation center in Suffolk County on Long Island giving Rescue Dogs Rock NYC a home to care for dogs in need. This allows the charity to save many more needy and deserving dogs. The center sits on half an acre and allows indoor/outdoor kennels and has lots of outdoor space.   Georgina Bloomberg NYC Second Chance Rescue hosted their 3rd annual Rescue Ball on Thursday April 27th, 2023 at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. The charity aims to raise critical funds to help continue their mission of providing second chances to critically ill, injured, and abused dogs and cats. The Rescue Ball celebrated 14 years and saving over 14,000 lives. Hosted by Georgina Bloomberg, Katie McEntee, Kingsley Crawford, Nathania Nisonson, Elizabeth Shafiroff, Merritt Piro, Elizabeth Bowden, and Olivia Mulvey. The girls called all party animals to attend their first annual beach party where 100% of the proceeds went directly to the shelter’s rescue program.
