Ellen Page Another Hollywood celebrity is blaming the media for its treatment of wild and crazy singer Britney Spears, calling their behaviour "sickening". Ellen Page says she sympathises with Spears because she could have been in the same situation if she began her career at such a young age. Page was asked to relocate to Los Angeles to star in a new Television sitcom at just 13, but turned down the role to finish schooling in her native country of Canada. The young star is alos convinced that if she had accepted the part, she could have been a misled teen, and a victim of the tabloids’ wild paparazzi. She said, "It definitely happens to some people and it doesn’t to others.It’s really unfortunate, I wish there was more compassion for those people versus just relentless judgments. It’s sickening. 'JUNO' ELLEN PAGE'S PREPUBESCENT RAGE
In Steppin' Out magazine, Ellen Page [Hard Candy], the baby faced star of the critically acclaimed new film "Juno," sounded like she wanted to castrate gadfly journo Chaunce Hayden after Hayden remarked during a sit down one on one interview at the W Hotel that the 20 year old actress looked like she could pass for ten years old. Page apparently didn't agree and immediately threw a fit. In the interview which hits stands on December 12, Page responds to Hayden's remark by shouting, "TEN! YOU SERIOUSLY THINK I LOOK PREPUBESCENT? (Louder) TEN! That is such an insult! I'm sorry, but are you serious? TEN! You seriously think I look prepubescent? (Shouting) Do you realize that ten is prepubescent? Hayden tried to calm the visibly upset actress by asking if looking so young made her uncomfortable.
